Dr Desmond Bokor is an Orthopaedic Surgeon with a sub-speciality interest in shoulder and elbow surgery. He graduated from Monash University in Melbourne with Honours and completed his Orthopaedic Training in Sydney on the Australian Orthopaedic Association Training Programme.
Dr Bokor completed fellowships in Sports Medicine/Knee Surgery in Sydney and then spent time at the University of Western Ontario, Canada, as a Fellow training in Shoulder Surgery. Dr Bokor has a Masters of Higher Education (Medical) from Macquarie University. He is currently the Associate Professor and Chairman of the Department of Orthopaedics in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Macquarie University, Sydney, NSW and Macquarie University Hospital.
He is a founding member of the Shoulder and Elbow Society of Australia and has held the positions of both Secretary and President. Dr Bokor is also a Corresponding member of the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons Society, and a member of the Australian Orthopaedic Association, the Australian Medical Association and Sports Medicine Australia
He is a Sub-Editor for the Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery.
