Ms Alice Bremner-Smith trained in Orthopaedic Surgery on the Bristol rotation. She completed two years specialist Fellowship training in Hand and Wrist Surgery at prestigious units in Oxford (UK), Sydney (Australia), London (UK), Leeds (UK), and Paris (France).
Ms Bremner-Smith's practice is exclusively adult Hand and Wrist Surgery and she covers all aspects of this discipline including elective conditions such as Dupuytrens disease, Carpal tunnel syndrome and arthritis with a particular interest in distal radius and scaphoid injuries and secondary reconstruction for flexor tendon injuries. She works closely with Hand Therapists and specialises in tailoring treatment to the individual concerned with emphasis on a wholistic approach. She has particular experience in treating high level sports players and performing artists.
Ms Bremner-Smith is a member of the National AO and Synthes Teaching Faculty for hand and wrist trauma. She is Educational and Clinical Supervisor for senior hand surgical trainees and mentor for the British Diploma of Hand Surgery examination. She is an active member of the British Society for Surgery of the Hand and the Royal College of Surgeons, England.
She is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Imperial College, London and a reviewer of publications for the Annals of the Royal College of Surgeons.
