Dr Peter Myers is an Orthopaedic Surgeon with a special interest in Sports Medicine. He is a Senior Consultant Surgeon at the Mater Public Hospital and is in private practice at the Brisbane Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Centre. He is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Queensland.

After graduating in Medicine from the University of Queensland, Dr Myers completed his Orthopaedic Training in Queensland, before undertaking two years of Fellowship training overseas working in Sports Orthopaedic Centres in Atlanta (USA), Toronto (Canada), and Edinburgh (Scotland). Dr Myers attends a number of Brisbane's Sporting Clubs as Team Doctor. He is on State, National and International Committees for various Sporting Associations, and is a past President of the Australian Knee Society and Patron of Sports Medicine Australia (Qld Branch). His practice focuses on Sports Orthopaedics and knee surgery. He is a past President of the Australian Knee Society and a College Examiner in Orthopaedic Surgery.

Dr Myers has published and presented numerous papers on Sports Medicine and other topics both locally and internationally. In 1992, he was awarded Honorary Membership of the American Orthopaedic Society of Sports Medicine. In 2000, he was awarded the Australian Sports Medal for services to sport, and in 2014, Dr Myers was appointed Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for services to Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine.
