Mr Steve Corbett qualified from St Thomas' Hospital, London in 1990. He undertook surgical training, both in the UK and France, and was awarded a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) for his work on fracture healing. In 2003, he was appointed as Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon at Guys and St Thomas' Hospitals, London, specialising in Upper Limb Surgery.
Mr Corbett is a named reviewer and expert opinion for medical journals and is an editor/contributor of several leading text books. His research interests include clavicle fractures, acromioclavicular joint injuries, shoulder dislocation, rotator cuff tears and the treatment of 'tennis elbow'.
Mr Corbett is a surgeon to sports professionals in rugby, cricket, football and athletics. His primary interest is arthroscopic shoulder and elbow surgery, and the reconstruction of complex shoulder and elbow injuries. In the past he was a very keen sportsman and now enjoys trying to help patients to successfully return to their chosen activities
