The National Training Centre (NTC) is Ireland's longest established training provider offering professional industry based qualifications in the areas of Fitness Instructor Training, Personal Training, Pilates Instructor Training, Neuromuscular Physical Therapy and a range of other health fitness related courses.
NTC is an academic partner of the University of Chester and we provide students with the opportunity to study part time for a Masters Degree in Exercise & Nutrition Science and a Masters Degree in Neuromuscular Therapy. There are a wide range of courses to choose from at NTC and all courses are offered part time in various locations.
NTC tutors are world class experts in their fields and have many years of professional and teaching experience. John Sharkey BSc MSc, BACA BASES is a recognised author and authority on the topic of myofascial trigger points and the treatment of chronic pain. John holds master's degrees in clinical anatomy (BACA), exercise physiology (BASES) and is the programme leader of the masters degree in Neuromuscular Therapy accredited by the University of Chester.
John is a member of the Olympic Councils Medical and Science Team and runs a successful chronic pain clinic. An International presenter and keynote speaker John has proven to be a popular figure at conferences, workshops and masterclasses worldwide. He is a member of the editorial team Journal of Bodywork and Movement Therapies (JBMT) and the BioTensegrity Interest Group (B.I.G) under the guidance of his mentor Dr Stephen Levin.
David Anderson MSc, NAMMT BASES has been involved in manual therapy practice and education for almost 20 years. A graduate of the University of Chester, David holds a Master of Science degree in Neuromuscular Therapy and also a graduate diploma in Manipulative Therapy.
In addition to maintaining a private practice, he is a currently a senior lecturer at the National Training Centre in Dublin. Although his clinic specialism is in the treatment of chronic somatic pain, David has also worked in sport and performance arts at the highest level, having worked with the casts of many well known West End and Broadway productions. David lives with his wife and family in County Down, Northern Ireland.
